This set contains 12 QR code task cards that take students to selected paintings by Claude Monet. Students look at the painting on the iPad and read the information box on the card. The information boxes invite kids to explore the painting. Each card focuses on different aspects of Monet’s art, such as brush strokes, use of color, etc. The cards are geared to a Grade 2 or 3 reading level, but could be adapted for younger or older students. Students then answer a few questions about the painting in a response booklet.
The package contains:
* 12 task cards
* a response booklet for students
* copies of each of the 12 selected paintings
To use these task cards, students must have iPads or other devices with QR scanning apps to scan the QR code.
These activities provide a great way to integrate Art into your balanced Literacy program. The kids love using the iPads! You can have the students complete all the cards, or as many as you wish. Great for Literacy centres!!
I have included copies of each of the 12 paintings in case you would like to print them out, or view them using a document camera.
This is "kid tested" and teacher approved!
