Description
This is the perfect activity bundle for practicing rhythms in a way that promotes literacy AND fluency! My students absolutely adore these rhythm erase activities, and yours will too.
Since no rhythm syllables are used, this set will work perfectly in any elementary music classroom with any rhythm system. Presentations include notation with both stick and note heads so you can choose whichever visual works best for your students.
This each level in this bundled set includes:
-3 Rhythm Erase Presentations in both stick and note-head notation (note: presentations are cumulative; i.e. half note presentation uses all the rhythms in level I.) Each presentation has three distinctive caterpillar patterns and comes as a pdf AND a powerpoint with transitions. Use whichever format works best as a classroom presentation, or print the pdf and use at stations!
-Dictation Worksheets: for an added challenge, have students dictate each caterpillar from memory as you work your way through the presentations.
-Caterpillar Creation Worksheets: use as a scaffold from the presentations to creating individual flipbooks. Create a class caterpillar, then turn students loose to create their own!
-Caterpillar Flipbooks: Now comes the REALLY fun part--students create their own rhythm erase challenge to stump their friends!
