Click Clack Moo is a classic book adored by preschoolers and kindergartners (and their teachers)! Why? Because farm life is written about in a surprising way -- the cows have a typewriter and are expressing themselves **and their demands** by typing up grievances.
This book companion resource extends the discussion by asking students to retell the story, describe objects, tools, and their functions that often found on farms, writing vocabulary words from the farm, and even learning the vocabulary of various occupations including farmer.
I love this book because there are so many ways you can take a discussion. From considering how/why the cows want electric blankets to how valuable writing can be to communicate needs and wants, children think deeply about these topics after reading the book. Use this resource to help students write, draw, and orally describe words from the story as well as vocabulary words related to the farm, objects & tools, and occupations.
Pg 3-12 – Tell me a story
