This project will provide the student with an experience in art and literature working together. After hearing the teacher read Clifford's Tricks by Norman Bridwell, and discussing the story, the children will use many basic drawing and cutting skills to create their own moveable Clifford. They will learn about advanced construction skills demonstrated by the teacher. A step by step procedure will be followed. The students can add their own creative ideas at the end, as well as enjoy their creation as they move him to various trick positions. This is a project where the students learn many new skills, AND enjoy their fun, active, final product.
