Help your students celebrate Clifford's birthday with these adorable paper plate masks! You'll need a local hardware store to donate paint stir sticks...one for each child. Grab dinner-sized or dessert-sized red paper plates at your nearest Wal-Mart or Target. Add a touch of "cute" with a small black pom pom from your craft store for each Clifford nose. Download this template for your Clifford ears, mouth, eyes, and dog tag, and you've got a fabulous activity your students will LOVE! Run off the ears and mouth on red construction paper, photocopy the dog tags on yellow construction paper, and give each child the eyes on white paper. Kids can personalize their Clifford mask by drawing his eyes any way they choose. Each year we celebrate Clifford's birthday by reading lots of Clifford books, writing about Clifford and making fun Clifford projects. This is my students' absolute favorite!
