Product Description

Chasing Ice is a 2012 documentary about acclaimed photographer Robert Balog's efforts to raise awareness about human-caused climate change by photographing disappearing glaciers. The film follows Balog and his crew on trips to Iceland, Greenland, and Alaska as he produces stunningly-beautiful photographs of the icy landscape. The crew is also able to use time-lapse photography to show the rapid retreat of glaciers and to witness the largest "calving" of a glacier ever recorded. This resource includes before, during, and after-viewing questions for discussion. The film is about an hour and 15 minutes long. A link to a site where the film can be viewed online without charge is included.
