Many teachers avoid teaching about climate change because the issue has become politically charged. This activity invites the students to investigate which organizations accept that climate change is exacerbated by human activity versus those that present climate change as part of a natural cycle. Individual teachers should feel free to add additional organizations. This chart includes a dozen organizations and their stances on climate change. Students research the mission statement of each organization to determine what might motivate each group to have the position it has on this critical issue. An "answer key" is included.
