The Climate and Weather 4 in 1 SMARTBoard Pack is a 4 pack of 4th grade level SMARTBoard presentations relating to climate and weather. The four presentations include:
Weather Tracking – A Fourth Grade SMARTBoard Introduction is a SMARTBoard 4th grade level instructional presentation
It includes: a SMARTBoard presentation of the text along with three fully interactive slides that are also available in PDF format to print and issue as classwork, homework, or attach/incorporate into an interactive notebook.

The presentation includes:
• Introduction weather tracking terminology (tornado, air mass, stationary front, thunder, front, forecast, cold front, and warm front).
• Illustration of the six North American air masses with descriptions.
• The three types of fronts
• Reading weather maps
• Forecasting weather
• Severe weather warning signs and safety

The last 3 slides are white-background slides used for the printables. They are not included in the total pages. I include them in case you would like to change any of the data and recreate the printables.

The interactive/review slides and printables:
• Activity one has students identifying terminology through a matching activity. Terms included are tornado, air mass, stationary front, thunder, front, forecast, cold front, and warm front.
• Activity two has students identifying/matching 6 types of North American air mass descriptions with their locations on a map.
• Activity three has students answering weather questions on a weather map (city high temp, low temp, rain?, sunshine?, etc.).

The Water Cycle – A Fourth Grade SMARTBoard Introduction is a SMARTBoard 4th grade level instructional presentation
It includes: a SMARTBoard presentation of the text along with three fully interactive slides that are also available in PDF format to print and issue as classwork, homework, or attach/incorporate into an interactive notebook.

The presentation includes:
• Introduction to terminology (evaporation, water vapor, condensation, cloud, freeze, precipitation, water cycle, and melt).
• Explanation of water cycle.
• Types of clouds (Cirrus, Cumulus, Stratus, Cumulonimbus, Altocumulus, and Cirrocumulus).
• Other forms of precipitation (sleet, snow, and hail).


The interactive/review slides and printables:
• Activity one has students identifying and matching water cycle terms and pictures.
• Activity two has students identifying the six cloud types in a matching activity.
• Activity three has students labeling the parts of the water cycle.

Weather Changing the Earth – A Fourth Grade SMARTBoard Introduction is a SMARTBoard 4th grade level instructional presentation
It includes: a SMARTBoard presentation of the text along with three fully interactive slides that are also available in PDF format to print and issue as classwork, homework, or attach/incorporate into an interactive notebook.

The presentation includes:
• Introduction to floods.
• Forest fires explained.
• Tornadoes and Tornado Alley
• Hurricanes explained.
• Landslides and avalanches compared.

The interactive/review slides and printables:
• Activity one has students identifying the similarities and differences between hurricanes and tornadoes using a Venn diagram.
• Activity one has students identifying the similarities and differences between avalanches and landslides using a Venn diagram.
• Activity three has students matching definitions to terms/pictures from the presentation. Included vocabulary - floods, fire, hurricane, tornado, avalanche, landslide, and gravity.

• Explanation of 5 basic climate types (tropical, dry, temperate, cool, and polar)
• 3 factors determining climate (latitude, ocean currents, and global winds)
• How bodies of water affect climate
• Mountains and climate

The last 2 slides are white-background slides used for the printables. They are not included in the total pages. I include them in case you would like to change any of the data and recreate the printables.

• Activity one has students matching the 5 climate types to pictures and descriptions
• Activity two has students moving descriptions to a picture representing inland and coastal areas. Descriptions include (more cloudy, less cloudy, more precipitation, less precipitation, dry, wet, warmer, and cooler).
