This climate unit requires students to think critically and draw conclusions throughout its 7 day time frame. Students begin by researching a capital city’s weather. The unit builds from there as students record climate data, create graphs and analyze maps. Students then learn cooperatively about climate controls, climate types and climate charts. The unit ends with students revisiting their capital city’s weather; drawing from what they have learned in the unit they will explain what climate type they believe the city has using supporting evidence.
