Why It Works
Rhyming is one of the components of phonological awareness and this activity is a great way to stregthen that skill! Your little scholars will practice identifying rhyming words with this hands-on activity. Not only will your little scholars practice identifing words that rhyme they will also strengthen fine motor skills as they place a clothespin on each rhyming pair.

Print, cut, and laminate the cards for durability. Gather 56 clothes pins (you can purchase clothespins at most dollar stores). This activity can be used in small groups or individually. ✨Add an element of self check by placing a sticker or drawing a dot on the back of the cards to indicate the rhyming pair.
