Clip charts are a great way to reward positive behavior in the classroom, along with encouraging all students to make the right choice. I’ve used them with clothespins, as well as magnets.
This download includes a pdf file with the clip chart labels "as is," as well as an editable Powerpoint file for you to change the wording on the cards and recording sheets. This way, you can use all or just some of the levels, and use the phrases that best fit your classroom.
This “Fun Kids” theme clip chart has seven levels:
- Ready to Learn (the middle level)
- 3 “clip up” levels: “Way to Go,” “Excellent Effort,” and “Super Student”
- 3 “clip down” levels: “Make Better Choices,” “Teacher Choice” and “Parent Contact”
In addition to the colorful chart with adorable graphics, I also included a daily, weekly and monthly recording sheet so you can track individual student behavior (with kid-theme images, too!). I added a blank bar graph and line plot for you (or a student!) to graph their data from the month. (There are 2 different monthly sheets – one for a boy and one for a girl. The same is true for the bar graph and line plot sheets.)
Need some ideas? This set also includes a description of how I use the clip chart in my own classroom. Use my directions or change it up to make it your own!
Take a look at the preview to see more of what's included.
