Need a way for students to work on identification AWAY from the keyboard? Look no further. It’s amazing where inspiration can hit… the idea came to me for this game when I was hanging up laundry with clothespins. As I was doing this dubious chore, I noticed the clothespins are about the size of the black keys on the piano.
Some assembly required for this game. Instructions are included on the first page. I highly recommend printing the game boards on card stock, and laminate for durability. One side of the board has note names, the other side does not. Also, the assembly requires at least 8-24 clothes pins, and an extra-fine Sharpie. Black and/or White paint optional.
You can use this game for identifying: notes, intervals, chords, sharps/flats, and more! The possibilities are endless with Clip the Keys!
