Work on beginning sounds with this fun self-checking center.
The kids take a card, say the pictures, listening for the beginning sound. When they hear the letter sound they are looking for, they clip the picture using a clothespin. When they have clipped three pictures they flip the card over and check to see if they got it right. If not, they move the clips to the stars and then flip the card over again and say the pictures over and over until they hear the beginning sound.
This center is self-checking and reinforces the correct skill you want them to learn. Kids are also strengthening their fine motor muscles by using the clothes pins.
