Start off the year by incorporating interactive writing as part of your balanced literacy program. Use these pre-written interactive writing pieces when you “share the pen” with your students. Interactive writing is meant for you and your students to engage in meaningful and purposeful writing. These pre-written pieces are by no means meant to be written word-for-word. They are to be used as a guide to help you and your students to write about specific topics.
You will get:
12 pre-written Fall themed interactive writing pieces (The paragraphs range from back-to-school, apples, fall, and units of study (Johnny Appleseed, Columbus, Mayflower, etc.))
Writing paper for each paragraph: There are 2 writing papers for each interactive writing piece. One has the title and the other does not. You can either print back-to-back for extra space or use individually.

Extended Activity suggestions for during and after writing
