Getting your students to slow down, reflect as they read, and engage with the text in different ways are all part of being a good reader and are goals of close reading. While this can be a difficult skill for students to master, teaching it doesn't have to be! Jennifer Horner and I have teamed up to create an easy to use Close Read for primary students.
This 60 page unit includes everything you need to engage in a Math themed Close Read and incorporate English/Language Arts across the curriculum. This unit is broken down into an easy to use 5 day lesson plan.
