Engaging hands-on and close reading activities to teach students about Earth’s water and where it is found and what forms it takes. This resource is for 2nd grade and is aligned with NGSS Earth Systems:
NGSS 2-ESS2-3. Obtain information to identify where water is found on Earth and that it can be solid or liquid.
This resource includes lesson plans, gathering evidence, nonfiction articles, response pages, interactive notebook flaps, QR codes, hands-on inquiry based labs, recording pages and task cards with sorting activities.
There are two science experiments/labs included in this resource and four pages of nonfiction passages with scientific information.
The sorting cards and task cards can be used as centers or for fast finishers.
Students will participate in a variety of activities that will help them understand the material.
