This lesson is designed to follow the close read steps in order to read and respond to a non-fiction article. The lesson reviews and utilizes non-fiction text features, such as title, headings, and captions to guide reading and to preview an article in order to make predictions. After looking at the text closely, student will respond to text-based questions.
