These organizers are to be used for Close Reading about Animals with 3 different Science A-Z articles and one Reading A-Z article. Each organizer includes fill in the blank questions as well as opportunity for a written response.
Lesson could go as follows…
1st Read: Read text the whole way through, identifying new vocabulary and any phonetic issues students may encounter.
2nd Read: Re-read for a purpose. Students highlight repeating words, vocabulary words or sight words that students are focused on.
3rd Read: Students read for a third time with the purpose of completing the graphic organizer and finding answers to the questions.
