School is almost here! I know we are all thinking of ways to organize our reading and math blocks :) I typed up the following sheets to make my life easier during my reading block.
My school is no longer following a basal, so we have more freedom as to how we teach our reading standards. I am excited about the new freedom, but I know that if I'm not organized it can get a little crazy!
These sheets are designed to organize all of your mini-lesson handouts and practice sheets during your reading block.
Please check out the preview for a detailed look.
There are 3 main sections:
1 - Reading Log - Where students keep track of their reading goals and books
2 - Reading Notes - Where students keep all mini-lesson handouts. I have typed up a 'What Good Readers Do' Section along with practice sheets
3 - Close Reading Practice - Where students will practice close reading. I have typed up several coding the text sheets to get you started.
I am very excited to begin this and share with you how it all goes - please do follow me over at my blog for updates
..I will be making a math binder/folder soon :)
