Having your students acquire good reading skills helps them become life-long readers and thinkers. “Chunking” or chunking text is a technique used to close read pages of text, a section of text, or break down an article, chapter or poem. Chunking has your students look close at these particular sections, summarize, analyze and interpret what they read.
