Teach your students some basic CLOSE READING marks using these handy "desk tags." You can use one of the two colorful direction sheets to TEACH your students what each symbol means.
Two sets of tags and two pages of directions for kids included; One set for higher grades, and one for lower grades.
Designed for beginning close readers in grades 2 - 5.
I recommend that you print these desk tags (or book marks) on card stock, have them laminated and tape them to your students’ desks for easy reference. You could also print a larger version for your wall.
For a comprehensive lesson with graphic organizers and response sheets that go great with these desk tags (and are perfect for getting observed!), take a look at Close Reading Summary Practice ~ Nonfiction available in my store.
