Close reading is the reading of a passage or text (most notable, non-fiction) closely. It is reading (& rereading) with a purpose to reinforce understanding.
This handout and poster set is designed to be a reference for students during close reading. The first page (handout) should be kept in student binders/notebooks and the remaining pages should be printed on colored paper and hung on a reference wall.
Suitable for upper elementary, middle school, and high school.
