PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will separate an article given to them by their teacher into chunks of paragraphs based on their topic or purpose, write a summary of 20 words or less for each chunk, and then come up with a main idea of 5 words or less for each chunk. Students will then example the tone words used in the article, think of synonyms for each word, and evaluate how using the synonym in the article would change the tone. Finally, students will state the central idea of the text and write an objective summary.
