Description

This handout takes students through a close, critical look at the January 2019 Launch Speech given by Kamala Harris. Students are guided through the text with text-dependent questions, and a graphic organizer to analyze the use of ethos, pathos, and logos within the speech.

This would likely be a two-day lesson, due to the length of the speech, but it'd be worth it. Infusing a look at our current political landscape is necessary for building responsible, literate citizens.
