Clothespin Clip Games For Fall Number Word Recognition

- PDF

Description
Quick, easy and fun, fall-themed clothespin clip card games help reinforce number word recognition. -Teacher Comments: “Fun!” “Excellent for fine motor skills.” “Fantastic!”
Simply print, laminate and trim. I keep each set in their own Baggie with a few “pincher” clothespins, then toss the Baggies in a basket which is kept in my math center.
Students pinch and place a clothespin to the number (0-10) that matches the number word on the apple, pumpkin, leaf, spider, owl, bat or turkey.
Pinching clothespins is a great fine motor skill that will help strengthen those finger muscles, plus my kiddos love doing this.
To make this an independent center, so that students can self-check their work, mark an X on the correct answer on the back of the card; in no time at all, everyone will be recognizing their number sight words.
Students can also pick a partner and play “Speed” to see who will be the first to get all of their clothespins clipped.
These games are great for "early finishers" or a super-fun "word work" activity for your language arts block.
So that you can easily program higher numbers, like those “toughie teens”, I’ve also included a blank set of each of the fall graphics.
More Teacher Comments:
- “Great fall resource for practicing number words.”
- “My students use this during math as a task bin, and LOVE when I change the theme!”
- “Used in lots of different ways. Really useful.”
