Once upon a time, I was in need of materials to increase my student’s ability to live independent. I was left in the position of needing to create my own. My students desperately needed a clothing unit to increase their independence in their respective houses. I developed a set of inventories to manage their current skills. Then, I developed task analyses to match needs in the inventory. I’ve included a few of the task analyses and data sheets along with the inventories. I’ve also included a blank task analysis form for further task anal development as needed. In the inventories, please note that additional lines are left blank for the purpose of including cultural garb and any specific clothing items that are important to specific individuals. After developing this unit, my student’s clothing skills took off! Such wonderful independence!
