This 10-15 minute lesson is a super fun way to get kids excited to learn about different cloud types! There are pictures throughout the lesson plan to make it easy to follow!
The lesson plan has you teach the difference between cirrus, cumulus, and stratus clouds. Then the kids get to make their very own clouds using cotton balls. There are guided instructions and pictures on how to make the three different cloud types. Kids can glue their clouds to a big piece of paper next to the name of the cloud and write three characteristics about each cloud type.
The cloud type printable is a word document with the cloud types: cirrus, cumulus, and stratus typed on them which are to be printed and cut out in the shape of clouds. These are going to be used as a checking for understanding tool (you show a picture of a cloud and they hold up the correct answer).
