This unit includes:
--two types of writing paper. One is regular lined and the other includes guide-lines for younger writers. Read the story Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Then, read Pickles to Pittsburgh. Both books are by Judi and Ronald Barrett. You can have your students write their own version of these stories with falling food! This is great for assessing your students' ability to sequence in their writing.
--Compare and contrast the two stories with a Venn diagram.
--Adjectives worksheet; The students will come up with adjectives to describe different food items.
--It also includes two graphing sheets. Let your class choose which food they would like to see fall from the sky. Create a tally or pictograph and a bar graph. After you have created the graphs, analyze the data by answering the questions.
