Finding and/or creating sample technology enhanced items can be challenging for teachers, yet it's imperative that students receive ample practice. This exercise may either be used as part of a formal assessment or as a review. It pairs the poem "Clownfish" with the Time for Kids article, "Saving Nemo?" The first two questions relate to the poem (identifying metaphor, summary, and theme), while the third (predicting cause and effect) corresponds with the article. The fourth question asks students to use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the information in both texts.
Due to copyright restrictions, only the technology enhanced items are included. However, a space has been provided for the poem, and the article may be printed and placed between the second and third questions.
