Hauntedsale This is a set of 20 original poems in a power point file to use for guess the covered word activities on a smart board or it can be used with a computer and projector. The poems included in this bundle are from my Poetry Mini Bundle Activity Packs #1-5. I use these guess the covered word activities when introducing the poems each week. Then I follow up the guess the covered word activity with the activities found in my Poem of the Week Activity Packs.

Guess the covered word helps to build reading fluency and phonics skills. It helps students improve their ability to make meaning while reading and to really think about the text they’re reading as they try to determine what word would be appropriate in each spot.
