Co-teaching can be overwhelming. This file can make the planning aspect of co-teaching a bit easier. I use these graphic organizers with my co-teacher when we are planning our weekly lessons and/or when we are grouping students for co-teaching approaches that split up the class.
This file contains a weekly co-teaching snapshot planner. You and your partner will pick one or more approaches per lesson and note a sketch of the plan. There is a lesson plan template for team teaching, which allows the teachers to plan what each will do during the course of the lesson. There is also a graphic organizer for alternative teaching, which aids the co-teachers in "sketching out" what each will do during this time, as well as which students will be pulled for the alternative lesson. This file also contains a group planner for station teaching (3 stations), a group planner for parallel teaching, and a group planner for mixed ability groups (6). For the mixed ability group graphic organizer, you will see there is a space for teacher 1 and 2. This is because when my partner and I do mixed ability grouping, we take ownership of half the groups and observe/assist each group when needed.
