This 23 page movie guide to Pixar's beautiful Oscar nominated film is designed for secondary Spanish teachers but also has elements that could work well in non-Spanish classrooms. Included in this packet are 45 study questions in English, 85 Spanish vocabulary words and phrases to help with understanding the film (and an answer key), a word search, biographies in Spanish of key cast members and the film's co-director, a Spanish-language explanation of the Day of the Dead with a Venn Diagram activity to compare the holiday with one your students might celebrate and finally a link with suggestions for additional authentic resources to use in class such as interviews, reviews, music and more. This packet is mostly designed for use in the high school Spanish classroom.
If you're an English speaking class (maybe a middle school teacher interested in showing the film?) consider my vocabulary list (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Pixars-Film-Coco-Vocabulary-List-3602737) There are a lot of untranslated Spanish words in the film, yet it's still easy for general audiences to understand -- especially with this vocab list.
*** 2/17/2018: This packet has been updated to include 45 movie guide study questions (in English) and a cloze song activity for the song "Remember Me." Both include answer keys.
