Help your students develop critical thinking skills, learn a bit about Ancient Rome, and have some fun at the same time with this Code Cracker activity! Students will be introduced to the Caesar cipher and learn how it works, then they will have an opportunity to crack some codes themselves. There is also a space for them to create their own codes for each other to decipher.
This activity comes with a cipher wheel that students can make to help them with their code cracking (they will need a brass brad to assemble it).
This is the first in what will be my Code Crackers series, so watch out for more activities with different codes in the future. In the mean time, I hope your students have fun with this freebie!
UPDATE: Code Crackers #2 is done! Check it out here.
