### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This math center activity asks students to scoop coins from a cup, write their value as a decimal, convert that decimal to a fraction with a denominator of 100, and then add those fractions together to find the total. If playing with partners, the student whose scoop has the greatest value earns a point and play continues.

The game mat can be laminated or put into a clear sleeve and written on with a dry erase marker.

This product contains two files: a Microsoft Publisher version which can be edited in the Publisher program, as well as a PDF version.

This mathematics center activity addresses Common Core Grade 4 Mathematics Numbers and Operations - Fractions standard CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NF.C.6 (also known as Florida Standard MAFS.4.NF.3.6) : Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
