During our math time, my groups choose a series or rotations (centers) to attand to. This is one rotation I use for students to practice counting coins. Students first grab a small handful of coins from a bag to lay out on their desk. They put them in counting order, then draw the coins they have. Finally, they count the coins and write the total dollar amount and repeat. I often print this form front to back so it is twosided for those who want more practice. Great individual practice for those quiet days:) Please leave feedback!
