Get your students into some QR code FUN!! This fun pack is perfect for helping your students practice identifying and counting coins while integrating technology!
The cards are leveled and differentiated so that you can choose the level of difficulty you want for your students. The cards show coins from the front and the back (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter) and give students practice counting from various amounts from .01-1.00. There is a card for every amount between .01-.25, and the amounts are random from .25-1.00.
There are multiple cards for certain numbers showing them in different coin combinations to give students even further practice, such as one card with 5 pennies and one card with 1 nickel to show .05.
All cards are numbered for easy recording on the provided sheets OR students can write directly on the card itself! Once students have written their answers, they can self-check using the QR codes at the bottom of their cards!
**PLEASE NOTE that you MUST have a device (iPad/iPhone) that is capable of reading the QR codes using a QR reader. You can download free QR code reader apps very easily!**
With This Product You Will Get:
This pack comes with:
+60 task cards
+2 recording sheets (one for cards 1-30 and one for cards 31-60). These can be copied front/back, or if you just want to use a small group of cards, you can choose the sheet that matches.
The QR codes may print out in yellow or with a gray background (depending on printers/ printer settings). This is so that the QR codes are differentiated from the rest of the graphics and read correctly by the scanning app.
Black and white versions are NOT included because you can print the cards in grayscale and the coins AND codes will look great! See the thumbnails for an example!! You can also print in color if you want your students to see more realistic visual examples of coins.
This fun pack is great for a center activity, guided math group lesson, to supplement small group instruction, or used as an assessment activity!
The QR codes give answers to students in sentence form, such as "You have __ cents" and complement the questions students are asked on the cards. For a dollar, the answer is given as "You have 100 cents or 1 dollar."
If you are looking for a fun way to help your students practice counting coins while integrating technology, you will love this pack!
