This is a worksheet unit I designed as part of a larger package. This only contains Unit 4: Adding Nickels and Pennies using touchpoints.
Included are three two page lessons and a final two page summative assessment. I've worked hard to make them easily visually accessible and almost self-explanatory.
The first two lessons have reference boxes to aid the student. By lesson three, there are no aids used for help with the material.
The duration of the unit will depend upon the students aptitude. I have several students that work one lesson for several days or weeks before they are able to synthesize the material. And the material overlaps so that the student are retaining old skills while acquiring new ones.
This is a great stand alone unit. It's been very useful in assessing students in the SPED classroom I work in, but it will work for any classroom teaching early change value and addition.
