The student will answer descriptions in regards to coin name, value, and descriptions for:
Students use their knowledge of presidents on the coins and landmarks to identify coin names and their value.
TWO OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
a) all sizes of coins the same, so students have to rely on knowledge of coin pictures and characteristics in order to identify each coin
b) sizes of coins proportional to real life
This is meant to be a coin quiz/assessment of a student’s knowledge of coins after learning names, values, and descriptions of characteristics of the US coins: penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. (Optional: After students complete my cut and paste coin activity they can use it as reference when answering these questions.) I purposely did not number the questions or offer a rubric because you may want to count some questions as “all or nothing” (i.e. name and value of a coin) or you might want to look at each blank as a separate question for credit.
