Students will use this page to track their progress on independent reading articles (a.k.a. Cold Reads). This will require them to keep up with their grades as well as evaluate whether they are improving or moving down. At the end of the quarter (or whatever time you set) the students will average their grades and complete the second page of this document, the reflection. On this page, they will not only reflect, but they will also set goals and make a plan for how they will reach these goals during the next quarter.
***You can edit this document to fit whatever time frame works best for your classroom. I do it by quarter, but it could easily be adapted for a month, quarter, semester, or even school year.
