”Brr, it’s cold in here?” …”there must be some Communists in our hemisphere!”
-Then what’s all the fighting about?
-What’s the big idea?
-Scratching your head in confusion? Keep it simple with the “Four Cs of the Cold War"
-Why should I care?
-Again, why should I care?

The third and fourth page provide instructions for the comic activity as well as hyperlinks to guide your students through some of the research necessary.
For Example:

"OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
What am I supposed to get out of this activity? A whole lotta knowledge!
Now that you have thoroughly warmed up your cranium, it’s time to get your full cranial exercise on
(fist pump, let’s do this!) and apply what you know by making a detailed comic strip about two of the topics
listed below, or within this link. The purpose of this activity is for you to take an in depth look at (or review) a
major concept of the Cold War in order to understand, and display your knowledge of, the following: 1. Your
topic’s chronology and/or details (For example, When was the Korean War? What happened?), 2. Its relevance to the time
period (Why did it matter at the time? How did it change things then? etc.), 3. The historical impact and implications of the
event (How did the world change because this event took place? Why does this matter?)"

Get Your Research On! (THESE TOPICS ARE HYPERLINKED TO DIFFERENT RESEARCH WEBSITES.)
