Included is the PowerPoint and Guided Notes, no activities or assessments.
You may ask, if it doesn't include the two wars, what does it have? There are numerous policies and events during the Cold War that are required by most curriculums that don't have to do with either the Korean or Vietnam War.
For instance, initially this PowerPoint covers the fundamental social, economic, and political differences between the USSR and the USA. Then it goes into the origins of the Cold War, Truman Doctrine, Marshall Plan, Berlin Blockade and Airlift, Berlin Wall, NATO and Warsaw Pact, UN, uprisings in Hungary and Czechoslovakia, Domino Theory, Chinese Civil War, Red Scare and McCarthyism, HUAC, the Rosenbergs and Alger Hiss, Interstate Highway System, Race to Space, U-2 Spy Plane Incident, Eisenhower's Presidency, Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, Arms Race, Kennedy's Administration and Assassination, American Intervention in the Middle East and Latin America, Che Guevara, Mikail G. and the fall of the wall, the Tankman, etc.
It is neatly organized and flows well. Look for the asterisks next to certain terms, people, etc... those are there for students to underline/highlight for the test, which means you don't need a review sheet because it's all there in the notes!
The notes are concise allowing students to focus on the lesson. They also have built in bellworks and focus questions. Please note they contain the content, but not quotes, supplemental information, etc. Basically, everything you need without dragging the kids down in detail.
As you can see, it covers a ton of important Cold War topics, and once again, you'll be privy to all the goodies that come with my PowerPoints such as: bellwork and discussion questions, animations, quotes, visuals, political cartoons, video links, etc.
