This is a research-based project that requires the availability of technology and the supplies needed to make posters (although it can easily be altered to having students create PowerPoints or a different type of presentation if more convenient). It takes 8 different topics important to the Cold War and has the students research them and create posters on their topic. It requires students to make connections to the Cold War, generate questions, cite their sources and more. The teacher can assign topics for the students to research, or allow students to pick. I personally allowed them to pick as long as all 8 topics got covered. After creating the posters students share their work. There's also a graphic organizer you can purchase for just $1 that students can fill out while classmates are presenting, which also includes a reflection piece. This took me 4 class periods to complete.
