This visual summary takes 3-4 direct quotes from speeches made during the early cold war between Britain, the United States, and Russia. These speeches give some insight into the mentalities and public perspective of Truman, Churchill, and Stalin, after the conclusion of World War II, looking to the future. Students read the direct excerpts and then summarize in their own words, leading for a good class discussion on a few examples from each transcript.
