Description

Students will be able to understand the reasons and types of protests during the Vietnam War by analyzing protest songs.

First, students will read aloud information about the Opposition to the war and answer essential questions. The teacher will then review the main causes of the opposition to the war while students take notes on the corresponding handout.

They will then be asked to analyze three protest songs, The Unknown Soldier By: The Doors, War By: Edwin Star, Eve of Destruction: By Barry McGuire. This is a fun and engaging activity. Teacher tested, student approved!
