This poster provides students with expectations of what a "Collaborative Conversation" looks like. It covers aspects of what the "Speaker" and "Listener" should be exhibiting during the conversation (a.k.a. "Partner Talk" or "Share Pair"). The chart describes each partner's speech, eyes, ears, and body posture during the conversation. Additionally, it also provides speaking prompts in which to start their conversation.
The chart supports the Common Core Language Standard for Comprehension and Collaboration, Speaking and Listening (L.K.1a and L.K.1b).
The Collaborative Conversation Poster was created on an 8 1/2 in x 11 in paper (for handy reference for students to hold or keep in a folder). The original was printed on a poster sized paper and mounted on the classroom wall for all students to see and reference.
