These forms are to aid students and teachers, in learning the importance of asking questions and linking ideas during discussions.
Included is a class set of student self-monitoring forms for collaborative talk.
Also, is a teacher form to take notes during student collaboration.
The forms include the following information :
Learning Goal and Success Criteria
Learning Goal: Understand that building on others’ ideas helps create collaborative discussions.
Success Criteria:1. Ask classmates questions to better understand their ideas. 2. Link my ideas to my classmates’ ideas in collaborative discussions.
The idea of the forms came from a video on a learning channel, but the forms are my own.
I had so many requests for the forms, to my email address...that I had to find a place for all teachers to retrieve them.
