Collaboration is a skill that students will need to be successful in the 21st century. Use collaboration through group work, while ensuring that all students have a task to help them be accountable to the group.
Not only are roles in groups great for students to learn accountability and responsibility, they also help with classroom management because all students have a task to complete.
18 different group roles are included. You can pick and choose roles depending on the work you will be asking students to complete. Switch things up throughout the year by using a variety of roles to help expose students to different tasks that will help them be successful in group work. You can also pick and choose between a few different verbiages for a couple of roles depending on our preferences.
This resource comes with 2 different versions of the role cards. The role cards can be printed double sided with one side showing the role and the back side providing the expectations for that role. You also get an editable version of the expectations for each role.
In addition to the role cards, you also get a PowerPoint that you can use to go over the expectations for each role before you use the role cards. An editable version is also included in case you change any wording on the role cards.
You also will receive 4 different design versions of group expectation posters and mini-cards. Each set has 2 different verbiages that you can select from.
If your school or district uses the Danielson Framework, this will help you meet Domain 2 and Domain 3.
