Collaborative Mural Art: The Alphabet
Art with Mrs. Nguyen
Collaborative murals make excellent back-to-school activities or creative extensions to compliment your own lessons!
This collaborative mural has 28 separate 7.5"x7.5" pieces.
Once assembled, the collaborative mural will be 52.5" long and 30" tall.
To create the collaborative mural:
1. Have each student color in their own piece of the mural. You can have them collaborate with their classmates to use similar colors or give them free range on color! Each mural piece will be printed on a separate page.
2. Once students are COMPLETELY finished coloring in 100% of their mural piece, have them carefully cut it out from the worksheet. I recommend having them write their name and mural coordinates (located under the directions on their worksheet) onto the back of their cut out piece. This will help you to stay organized when it's time to piece it all together!
3. Once all the pieces are colored and cut out, lay them out together on a table or on the floor so you can make sure you have them arranged correctly.
**You can see where each piece goes by referencing the piece coordinates sheet.
For easy hanging I suggest gluing/taping all the pieces down to a piece of butcher paper first, then hanging it up!
