“Collares de palabras básicas” is a fun way to get your students thinking about Spanish sight words during literacy time and beyond. My students LOVE wearing these double-sided sight words necklaces around the school and teaching everyone how to read the new words. It’s also a great way for students to show their families what they’re learning at school!
How to Use
: Using plain paper or cardstock, print and copy the page that matches the sight word you are studying. Allow the students to color the sight word medallion and cut on the dotted line. Turn the medallion face down. Stretch yarn across the middle of the medallion and spread glue across the backside of the paper. Fold the medallion in half. Tie the yarn to complete the process. Your double-sided necklace is ready to be worn proudly!
