Using the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Collection's Textbook, I made this 25 slide PowerPoint. It is perfect for the teacher who needs a step by step plan/ powerpoint to follow in class directly based on the Collections textbook. It begins with an introduction to the collection, quote, image, and stream to start video (you will only have access to the video if you have an hrw.com log in that allows you to use the textbook online). It introduces academic vocabulary, include frayer model activity, and a link to the tutorial for the lesson (you will only have access to the video if you have an hrw.com log in that allows you to use the textbook online). It includes key objective (analyze seminal document and the impact of its rhetoric), key vocabulary, rhetorical devices notes, and all the side notes and questions from the Collections textbook. The answers also fly in after each question.
FYI: For $1 more, I also have a student guided reading worksheet that goes along with this power point where students can write their responses for every question asked as the teacher moves through the lesson. (To be purchased separately )
